The Oscars 2023 are here! The 95th Academy Awards will be broadcast this Sunday, March 12th, 2023 from 11:15 p.m. with live coverage from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Actors, directors, screenwriters…all ready on the red chairs with their glittering dresses waiting for the crucial moment when the winners will be pronounced.
Speaking of Oscar awards, our region over the years has repeatedly been the set for kolossal films shot by internationally renowned directors starring big-name actors.
The same tourists who arrived in Trieste last summer where in Piazza Ponterosso one could catch a glimpse between takes of the actress Hally Barry talking to the crew were surprised; there were even those who intercepted the actor Samuel L. Jackson in a pizzeria in the breaks of the sequel to the film “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.” Even the Miramare Castle was armored to shoot some scenes of the film “Lift,” a new work by U.S. film director Felix Gary Gray.
But they were not the only ones who were captivated by the architectural and natural beauty of our region, so many Oscar-winning names: Charlize Theron, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Francis Ford Coppola, Salvatores, Salma Hayek, Banderas…just to name a few.
