The release of Diabolik, originally scheduled for 31 December 2020, has been postponed until an as yet undecided date in 2021.
This film adaptation by the Manetti Bros features a magnificent Eva Kant played by Miriam Leone and Luca Marinelli in the role of Diabolik.
Once again, inspiration is drawn from the comic originally created by Angela and Luciana Giussani in 1962: the character of Diabolik was a real phenomenon of Italian publishing which led to the rise of the Italian dark comic.
In this new Diabolik, the vintage comic style and some original elements have been maintained, such as the ever-present Jaguar: for this reason, it was decided to double the film’s budget. What will surprise the audience is the story, in which Eva Kant, in the words of one of the directors, “will be a 100% co-star of our film”.
The locations are Milan, Bologna and Trieste. Without revealing anything else, we can only wait for the film’s release!
